Celebrating Sixth Form Success across the Trust

This week, students across our four Sixth Forms are celebrating their results and looking ahead to their next steps – from leading universities and degree apprenticeships to exciting careers.

This year saw our best overall Sixth Form results since the Covid restrictions, with 70% of all grades at C or above and 14% of students achieving AAB or better. We are also particularly proud of our vocational provision, with 71% of grades in Applied subjects awarded at Distinction or higher.

There were some standout subject performances too, including our best Further Mathematics results in recent years, with 67% of grades at A* or A.

We are especially pleased to see the progress made at Haberdashers’ Knights Academy, where the proportion of students achieving A*–B or higher has risen to 41% from 22% since last year.

Across the Trust, students are now heading to a wide range of exciting destinations.

At Haberdashers’ Hatcham College, 11 students achieved straight A*–A grades, with students securing places at Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, Warwick and York. Rose Cain, who achieved A*A*A*, will study Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge, while Masir Motlekar, also achieving A*A*A*, will take up a degree apprenticeship with Deloitte.

Kaitlynd Cela, who achieved A*AA, will study Law at UCL. The school is also celebrating outstanding vocational results, with James Bernards and Annabelle Bland both achieving D*D*D in Applied Science Extended. James will study 3D Animation and Visual Effects at De Montfort University, while Annabelle will study Physiotherapy at York St John University.

At Haberdashers’ Borough Academy, this year's results mark a particularly special milestone as the school's founding Sixth Form cohort celebrates its first results and graduates. 23% of entries achieved A*–A, with students progressing to a wide range of university courses and degree apprenticeships. Among them, Sebastian achieved A*A*AA and will study Mathematics at UCL, while Wulfie achieved A*A*A and will study Physics at Imperial College London.

At Haberdashers’ Crayford Academy, the average A Level grade rose to a C, reflecting the hard work and progress of students and staff. Robiat achieved three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and will study at the University of Nottingham, while Ben, the school's Head Boy, combined an A in Psychology and B in History with a Distinction in Sport and Exercise Science.

Success across our Sixth Forms is about more than results. These achievements reflect the ambition, determination and resilience of our young people, alongside the dedication of the staff who have supported them throughout their Sixth Form journey, and for many, throughout their entire school careers.

Across the Trust, students benefit from a broad programme of personal development, careers education, mentoring and enrichment, helping them to develop the knowledge, confidence and character they need for life beyond Sixth Form. Through opportunities including the Trust-wide Habs Aspire mentoring programme, careers talks, electives, the Livery Awards, EPQ and tailored university and careers guidance, students are encouraged to explore their interests, broaden their horizons and prepare for their next steps.
