We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our team of highly qualified specialists at Haberdashers’ Hatcham College. In this role, you will teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering well-structured lessons that align with curriculum expectations and exam board specifications. Key Stage 5 teaching is also available to the right candidate.
Students at Key Stage 3 are taught in mixed ability groups. At Key Stage 4 there are 3 pathways. At Key Stage 5 there are both A-Level and vocational subjects. You will support pupils of all abilities and backgrounds, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort, and academic progress, while fostering confidence in scientific knowledge and skills. You will play a key role in assessing student learning, using attainment data to inform planning and providing clear, timely feedback to support progress and exam readiness. Working collaboratively within a strong and supportive department, you will contribute to consistent teaching practices, curriculum development, and targeted interventions where required. You will also support enrichment opportunities, helping to develop students’ wider understanding and enthusiasm for Science.
There are additional responsibilities available for the right candidate.
This role will report to the Head of Science.
