New Principal for Hatcham College

The Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Scott as Executive Principal of Hatcham College.

With full responsibility for the leadership and development at Hatcham College, Katie will play a key role in school improvement and ensuring that Hatcham College truly is an excellent school. 

Katie has a wealth of experience that she will bring to the role. Hatcham will be her third headship. She is currently Head Teacher at Langley Park Girls School and also a Governor at Haberdashers' Borough Academy. More recently, she shared best practice with colleagues across the Trust following a very successful school inspection at Langley Park. 

Katie grew up in the area local to Hatcham and still has family close by. As an ex-student of the College and having worked at Hatcham early in her career, she has a deep understanding of the strengths and challenges that face the school and its community. In addition, Katie was part of the team at Haberdashers' Knights Academy which supported the transition of Mallory School into the Trust. 

We are delighted that a Principal of Katie's experience is joining Hatcham and as a member of the Trust Executive Board. During the recruitment process, staff, parents and students met with Katie and all were equally impressed. I am confident that she will be an exceptional leader at a school with huge potential.

Rob Thomas has been acting as interim Principal and will continue in this capacity until Katie begins in post in September 2022.
