The Haberdashers' Pupil Experience
At Haberdashers' Academies Trust South, we provide an exceptional education from early years through to post-16, rooted in the belief that children and young people flourish when knowledge, confidence and character ar developed over time. From age three and beyond, our schools work collectively to ensure that every learner, regardless of background, is supported to succeed at school and prepared for life beyond it.
Our schools are proudly embedded within the diverse communities of south-east London, and we place inclusion and belonging at the heart of our pupil experience. Every child is known, valued and supported to thrive. We create environments where pupils feel safe to be themselves, ambitious for their futures and confident in their ability to contribute positively to their school, community and the wider world.
Haberdashers' Advantage

The Haberdashers’ Advantage is our distinctive character curriculum, designed to ensure that every pupil, regardless of background, has access to high-quality experiences that build confidence, broaden horizons and prepare them for life beyond school. By intentionally providing opportunities that may not otherwise be available to some children and young people, the programme helps to level the playing field and unlock potential, enabling all learners to aim high and embrace future possibilities.
Delivered through the commitment of our staff and strengthened by the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, our communities and trusted partners, the Haberdashers’ Advantage develops pupils’ character across four interconnected pillars: intellectual, moral, civic and performance. Through this Trust-wide entitlement, pupils develop curiosity, integrity and a strong sense of belonging, alongside the confidence to lead, collaborate and communicate — including as responsible digital citizens — preparing them for future study, employment and leadership in an ever-evolving world.

A connected journey from 3 to Forever

We design our pupil experience with the whole journey in mind, ensuring strong foundations in the early years that build progressively through primary, secondary and post-16 education. Careful curriculum planning and shared principles across our schools support smooth transitions between phases, including guaranteed secondary places for pupils from our primary schools (subject to local authority applications).
Our curriculum reflects both statutory requirements and a global outlook, shaped by the Haberdashers’ Teaching & Learning Principles and our Curriculum Experience Model. It connects knowledge across subjects, celebrates cultural diversity and prepares pupils for a wide range of future pathways, from apprenticeships to higher education.

Preparing learners for a digital world
Our digital strategy is intentionally embedded across the curriculum and wider school life, recognising that digital skills, understanding and responsibility are essential for all learners. From the earliest years through to sixth form, pupils develop the knowledge and confidence to use technology purposefully, safely and ethically.
We prepare children and young people to be responsible digital citizens who can think critically, act with integrity online and adapt to an ever-evolving technological landscape. Alongside this, we ensure pupils are equipped with the digital skills increasingly required for future study, employment and leadership, enabling them to engage confidently with opportunities in a rapidly changing world.
Belong to a Lifelong Network
Being part of the Haberdashers’ family connects pupils to a powerful and enduring network. Our learners benefit from exposure to industry leaders, alumni and professionals who enrich their education and inspire future possibilities.
We are proud that many former pupils remain closely connected to our schools, returning as mentors, governors, teachers and leaders. This lifelong sense of belonging reinforces our commitment to community, shared values and collective success — ensuring that Haberdashers’ pupils are not only prepared for tomorrow’s world, but empowered to shape it.
