Training Routes

There are two training routes available on our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programmes

ITT Employment Based and Apprenticeship

For applicants with:

School experience
Three years' transferrable work history

ITT Fee-Funded

For applicants who require:

A slower pace of learning
More school- based experience

Applicants on the ITT fee-funded route may be eligible for financial support that covers some or all of the tuition fees for the Award of QTS and PGCE.

Subjects you can teach

You can train to teach a range of subjects across the primary and secondary curriculum within one of our placement schools. We are currently accepting applications in the following subjects for our September 2025 courses:

*Due to a lack of funding, the number of ITT Employment-Based positions available in these subjects is extremely limited.
