I considered teaching as I wanted a new challenge where I was able to utilise my communication skills and to feel more fulfilment in my line of work. Habs was my top choice when looking at trusts to train with. The facilities in all the schools are great and I really liked the idea of my training being seen as all three years of new teacher training rather than just the one for QTS. There are many trainees within Habs so there is a big pool of people in the same boat or ready to support you where necessary.

My first term has been a wild ride but overall very positive. The staff within my school and department have been phenomenal in supporting me, teaching me and being great friends. I feel like in terms of teaching I have already come so far and am feeling more confident with each lesson. My general highlight is the strong bonds I have already made with students and staff, looking forwards to developing them further!
